07/22/2007 - So what have I been up to? Why don’t I tell you? I left Murder On Us after four wonderful years working with them. I enjoyed my time there, but I felt I should move on to bigger things. Most actors end their career in Dinner Theater, but me, I started mine there. I have been auditioning with a few other things and I will let you know if anything comes about.
In the mean time my film Used Books has been accepted to a few different film festivals including being an official selection of the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Check my events section to see the show time. I will also be directing another film this weekend for the 48 Hour Film Project. I have a great cast and crew and I know we are going to win! Come see the finished film on August 2nd at 7pm. Finally, I will be directing a workshop for Reality Check once again this fall. I am looking forward to working with the new cast and since this year will be the 10th anniversary, I know it will be a great hit! Come see some of my stuff or contact me if you need me for an upcoming project! Thanks!
03/26/2007 - I have been on a short film acting break. I have been working behind the scenes on a few projects and I have been establishing myself in a few other places to secure that income us artists find so valuable.
My short film Used Books went over very well. It has been submitted to a few short film festivals and has been used to get me some work. It was fun going back to directing again. I am Associate Producing a short film in Connecticut through the RIFC. I have also been busy teaching… that’s right I am teaching. I am a teacher acting at Performing Arts Programs, I have taught an acting class at the Bushnell in Hartford, I am teaching documentary film making at WNDC in Woonsocket for underprivileged kids, and I taught a film class at Beacon Charter High School. It has been nice to help share the knowledge I have learned over the ten years I have been doing this now.
So what does the future hold, I am hoping to get my film acting bug back and get back to work with that. I have been considering doing a real stage show as opposed to the comedy show I have now been a member of for 4 years now. And I am doing some writing for new projects I plan to be working on. So keep checking back for new updates!
01/13/2007 - Wow! Has it really been over six months since I have updated my site?  Time flies when you’re busy I guess, nothing but good news to report though.  The big stuff is I have just directed two short films, one is in the Steven Spielberg On The Lot competition.  I had a great Reality Check weekend in September, finished another round of Scrooge this December and did quite well as an actor in 2006.  I finally got my headshots out the door and just finished cutting a demo reel to send out as well.  Check out the site in detail, you’ll find some new photos, videos and shots from films of late.  I will try to write with more details soon, but I have got to get back to work.  Drop me a line and let me know what you think of my films or my new reel. Thanks!
06/29/2006 - So I am still on the Indy scene.  I swear I will get around to sending those headshots out soon.  I am happy to say that I have not sent them out yet because I have been so busy with work!  I am playing Keith Powers in FNB Production’s Casting Doubt.  In it I had my first big onscreen kissing scene. I have been doing some more student films and I just had a lead on Bonus Check.  Bonus Check was a trailer for investors to try to acquire the full budget for a feature.  It was the best I have ever been treated by a production company.  It was a real taste of the big time.  I had a queen size bed to myself, with a private bath, and a view looking over the lake.  I got to get up before the shoot and take a swim in the lake.  There was great catering, nice people, and PA’s looking after me all day.  Everyone on the set was just so professional.  It was just good to see some companies are doing it right!  I real feel like I have made it to the top after that.
I am also involved with the 48 Hour Film Project in Providence.  Melissa Bowler and I hosted the Open Call event.  (I was also in charge of planning the event.)  It was a huge success!  There were over 200 people there.  It was nice to see everyone networking and working together.  It is true to say that anyone who still thinks this is a cut throat industry, is never going to get anywhere.  The new wave of digital revolution has brought collaboration to the fore front of independent film.  You can click here to see pictures of the event.  Well, back to the grind stone.  Wish me luck!
04/16/2006 - So my career has begun and so far I feel I am off to a good start. I just got my new headshots taken by Stacey Doyle and I am very happy with the results. Please contact me and tell me what you think and which ones you like. I will be printing them up very soon and sending them out to many different casting agencies.
As for work, I have been involved in many different productions. I was an extra in Disney's Underdog, I was a featured extra in a CBS television pilot called The Way and I also did some work on a CBS pilot called Waterfront. I met some cool people on the sets and had a great time. I did some work on Sleather a feature film in Rhode Island as well as five student films. Finally I have still been going to Franklin Pierce College to help them out with Reality Check. I have done all this since my last update, so needless to say I have been very busy. I am beginning to think this is working and I am very excited! I have been meeting really cool people and I want to thank all of them for their help (you know who you are).
Well I only have a short time to write this, I have some new projects coming up very shortly so keep an eye out for new updates to the site. I will also be posting some new pictures of myself as I get them so continue to check out all the picture sections of my site. Hope everyone is well and feel free to drop me a line if you want.
02/27/06 - Check it out! I have a new website with an actual .com address, wicked cool! I have just launched www.DanielLeeWhite.com which will be my new stage and film name. There are already too many Daniel White’s out there anyway. Well I am going to give freelance acting a shot! I am at a point in my life where I think I can afford it and I am going to try to do and live in New England. I want to give all those actors in this area hope that you can be an actor and not have to move to New York or LA. Don’t get me wrong, I will travel there for work, but I am going to live here. I want to stay close to family and friends and have a successful and fulfilling career. Wish me luck or just to break a leg and be sure to let me know of any work out there, I am going to need all the help I can get.
02/13/06 - Wow!!! I have sure been busy! Sorry I have not written in a while. Some things have changed and it has kept me busy in a good way. When we last left me I was still shooting Zombie University, that film went over shooting schedule and is still looking for a couple of days to shoot pick ups. In late November and all of December I played Scrooge again. It was a huge amount of shows.
I am currently working on losing a few pounds. Kerri got me headshots for Christmas and I want to look as good as I can. I am looking around for some 2006 films to work on and I am writing a script in the mean time. As usual I am keeping busy, but please feel free to drop me a line.
10/18/05 - Well, it's been a great month. Reality Check was a complete success. That was the best group I had ever worked with. The performance was incredible. I finished filming Final Curtain 7 and McMulligan's Hovel and I was in Jacqueline Schnabel's "Hiking in High Heels" a Buddha Gouda Production. I have been cast in a print ad for Liberty Mutual, as well as, Rajah Samaroo's Dire as Father Michael, another Zombie University film at a totally different school, and another installment of Diamond in the Rough.
It's going to be a busy month for me and I am up for it. Christmas is coming soon and I am going to have to start growing mutton chops for Scrooge. That will stop my filming career for a while. Not too many casting calls looking for men with mutton chops, but I will be back in business in January and maybe I will get some new headshots.
So I have a bunch of new updates, I added some new acting photos, directing photos & personal pictures, as well as a short film I directed while I was in London, England. Make sure to check them all out. And click here to see my posting on Ahtspot.com. It's a new service for New England Artists that I think everyone should be a member of. Well, keep checking back for updates and drop me a line if you want to get in touch.
08/10/05 - I have some new updates up. I added some new acting photos and a new short film I was in for the filmerica.com challenge. I have been busy working on a number of projects. I am currently acting in Matt Belfiore’s short film, McMulligan's Hovel and I am also working on Mike Goodreau’s 7th installment of his horror film series. Murder on us is also opening a new show called “A Killer Phantom of the Opera.” I will be playing Andre Firmin. I have a few more auditions coming up and of course the Reality Check show in New Hampshire. I am keeping real busy, but it’s a good busy! Drop me a line or just surf the site to check out the new stuff.
07/03/05 - Wow, have I been busy. I just had surgery on my rotator cuff. I got lots of fine pain medication keeping me slowed down for now. I finally got copies of some of the films I have been in. I was also an extra in Black Irish being filmed in Boston. I know it’s no big thing to be an extra, but you have to pay your dues to move up. I play a doctor pushing oxygen into a patient’s room. I posted a picture of me in my scrubs. I will be in I am going to be doing a few more movies this summer, and at the end of the summer, I am going to be advisory directing Reality Check up at Franklin Pierce College. I am excited about the project and cannot wait to help. Things are looking good and the surgery went well. I am going to take this time out of work to make something of my career.

04/14/05 - Hey gang,
How are you? I am doing great. I just finished shooting on a new James Minn film. I don’t know the title of it yet, but it will be in the RISD senior show this May. I love working with James, he really keeps you on your toes. I have no idea what my character name is, what the plot is, what will happen in the movie or even what the title is, but I do know it will be great! I put some still shots from my rehearsal in my acting section. On top of those photos I added some new acting photos and some new personal photos too. Just some shots of my friends back stage at Murder On Us. Well not sure what’s in my future right now, but we will see. I will hopefully be putting a finished copy of the James Minn film on my site for all to see. Well until then keep an eye out for me.
03/26/05 - Things are going well. I have the lead in a new James Minn film. It’s this crazy story of a man in a box. I will have more details as the come. I am still playing an old man in Murder On Us’s show, I feel I have now been type cast. I am also starting up a drama club at the hospital I am working at for troubled teenagers. Things are keeping me real busy, and busy is good! Anyone can drop me a line if the like. Peace!
12/3/04 - The fact that I haven't had a news update in a year should show it has been one hell of a year. It has been a fun, crazy, hectic, emotional, anxiety ridden, hopeful, relaxing, rewarding, sensual, daring, dangerous, exciting, lavish, stressful, happy, sad, glad, mad, thoughtful, lazy, busy, and an overall nightmarish wonderland of a year. Well that about sums it up. As for right now, I have the lead role as Ebenezer Scrooge in "The Deadly Christmas Carol" and I am working with troubled teens at a hospital. After the New Year, I think I am going to start pursuing more film jobs. Well wish me to "break a leg" of you like in my fan club section or drop me a line in my contact section. To all a Happy Holidays and an even happier New Year!
1/07/04 - Man I have been so busy lately. I just finished up the Christmas show at the end of December. We had a blast but there is not much left of my voice. We are on a short break before we go back to the baseball show.
In other news, I stopped a guy from robbing my neighbor’s truck. He had broken in and was ripping apart her dashboard when I caught him. He threatened me with a screwdriver and asked me if it was my car. I told him no and then he said, “Then what do you care?” I convinced him to leave her truck alone telling him “she is just a poor college student.” He said, “Alright, I’ll give her a break,” and left. You always wonder what you’re going to do in those situations. I am happy it turned out ok. The girl is still in California on winter break.
Well it might be a while till I check in again. I see this as a very busy year ahead. This company is going to have some major changes to it, and it’s going to take me a lot of time. Drop me a line if you need anything or if you just have some words of incouragement.

7/23/03 - It has been a busy, but very happy couple of weeks. Things are going well and I really like the direction everything is going in.
Murder On Us has been going very well. I have received some great compliments on my performance. One woman said "You made the show!" I have been getting kisses on the cheek, loving hugs, and people have been buying me many drinks. It is a really great time. It feels really good to have your ego inflated like that.
Channel 12 has been nice too. Nothing too exciting, and I enjoy my job. My coworkers are a blast to work with even at 5am.

5/26/03 - Well, another busy week. I was putting a lot of hours in as usual. I did get to enjoy some of the weekend though. Saturday, we went to the Virtu Arts Festival in Westerly, RI. We had a great time! There were a lot of cool artists there! We saw a lot of good photographers, painters, and jewelry makers. One lady paints with her fingers, but you would swear she used a fine brush, her work was so much more amazing once we knew that. This is what I love about the Love Thy Job artists pages, you get to learn a lot about the artists and see what they're about and where they are coming from. It makes their art mean that much more. Besides, I hate going to art booths and finding out that all the work is manufactured. I want to know the artist when I want to buy their work. I want to know about their lives, passions, friends, and intrests. And since I can't be every artist in the world's friend(although I can try), Love Thy Job is the next best thing!
5/19/03 - Well I am now a year older as of Friday! WhoHoo! I can now legally rent a car from and Dealer and I can get someone into Dave & Busters that is under 21. Wow, how was I living my life without being 25?
I had my first performance on my birthday, (Yes, I had to work 2 jobs on my birthday) and it went really well. I received a lot of good comments on my performance. I finally have events to post of my own, and I will get them up as soon as possible.
Saturday, Kerri and I went up to P-town (Provincetown, MA) for the day. We saw a lot of really nice galleries and had a really great time. I went to the Puzzle This store and bought two classic games. Uno & Othello. Why is it that I can't seem to find the good old games like Othello anywhere anymore?
Sunday we went over to Krispy Kream to try these donuts everyone is going bonkers over. The lines were ridiculous. People, it is just a freakin' donut. Nothing all that special, hell of a lot of sugar though? Then we went up to the Narrows Center for the Arts. We were going to see Tamara Diaz's show. If you haven't been yet, don't miss it!!! The Narrows center has a beautiful view and a great space, and Tamara's artwork seems to really come alive in those bright rooms.

5/12/03 - Well it was a busy weekend for me my friends. I landed the part I was auditioning for. It's a Dinner Theatre Troupe called Murder on Us. They have been in business for 10 years. I start this week. My first performance is on my birthday this Friday. I swear I never get to celebrate any holidays. So now I am Working at a news station, directing one theatre troupe, and acting in another. But the life of an artist is never slow.
5/1/03 - You know I really haven't been doing enough updates to my own site lately. I have really been doing quite well. I gave the dog to a good home, but I still cried... I miss it so much.
I have been very busy lately. I have been working on a RISD student film in which I am the main character. It's a lot of fun, I had forgotten what it was like to act in serious roles. It has been going really well! I am also auditioning for a local dinner theatre troop soon, hopefully I will land it.

03/25/03 - I found this stray dog in downtown Providence. He looks part German Shepherd, part Irish Setter, and part Pit-bull. I can't find him a home anywhere and I don't want to give him to the Animal Rescue League because they euphonize pit bulls. They said they are un-adoptable. So I have to figure out what to do with him. He is cute as hell, but he is just a puppy. A really big puppy!

01/15/03 - Went to see Blue Man Group in Boston tonight. It was my third time seeing it. I never get tired of that show.
